Eterna Plc has appointed Dr. Jude Nwaulune as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, following the resignation of his predecessor, Olumide Adeosun, on 13 May 2026. The appointment takes effect from 14 May, 2026 and was disclosed via a regulatory filing with the Nigerian Exchange.
Nwaulune arrives at the NGX-listed downstream firm with nearly two decades of hands-on experience in Nigeria's petroleum retail and logistics space. Before joining Eterna, he served as Managing Director of Rainoil Logistics Services Limited, where he led strategic growth and operational initiatives across multiple segments of the energy industry. His background spans LPG market development, bulk storage, supply chain management and nationwide distribution, which are areas central to Eterna's core business.
Beyond operations, Nwaulune is an academic contributor to the sector, having authored three books and published in both local and international journals.
Speaking on the transition, Board Chairman Gabriel Ogbechie said Nwaulune's wealth of industry experience, leadership capacity and strategic insight position him to steer the company through its next growth phase.
Nwaulune, in response, described the appointment as an honour, saying he looks forward to working closely with the Board, management, employees, customers and stakeholders to build on the company's strong momentum.
The leadership changes at Eterna extended beyond the CEO appointment. The company also confirmed the retirement of Executive Director for Corporate Services, Mrs. Phoebean Ifeadi, effective the same date, concluding a tenure that began in October 2021.
