The Nigerian downstream petroleum market recorded broad downward pricing movements across major depots between Monday, 25th May and Friday, 29th May 2026, as both Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) prices softened across Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar supply corridors.
Checks by Petroleumprice.ng showed that depot owners adjusted prices lower during the week amid cautious buying activity, softer trading momentum and growing market expectations of fresh downstream price realignments.

Emadeb: ₦1802 → ₦1710 (−₦92)
Menj: ₦1802 → ₦1710 (−₦92)
Market checks by Petroleumprice.ng showed that drop in global oil prices and product availability contributed to the significant AGO adjustments recorded in Lagos.
WARRI DEPOTS
PMS (Monday – Friday Movement)
Warri PMS prices moved moderately lower across major depots.
Nepal: ₦1282 → ₦1279 (−₦3)
Optima: ₦1282 → ₦1279 (−₦3)

Parker: ₦1288 → ₦1278 (−₦10)
A.Y.M Shafa: ₦1288 → ₦1280 (−₦8)
The Warri PMS market experienced softer pricing pressure as market participants anticipated Dangote price adjustments and the global oil crash of about 20%.
AGO (Monday – Friday Movement)
Warri AGO prices also declined sharply during the week.
Rain Oil: ₦1798 → ₦1712 (−₦86)
Danmarna: ₦1798 → ₦1711 (−₦87)
Edo Refinery: ₦1803 → ₦1715 (−₦88)
First Fortune: ₦1800 → ₦1712 (−₦88)
Petroleumprice.ng checks revealed that the drop in price was influenced due to global oil pricing that fell sharply within the week.
PORT HARCOURT DEPOTS
PMS (Monday – Friday Movement)
Port Harcourt PMS prices recorded moderate corrections during the week.
Bulk Strategic: ₦1304 → ₦1295 (−₦9)
The decline is due to a very limited supply of petroleum products during the week.
AGO (Monday – Friday Movement)
Port Harcourt AGO prices also trended downward.
Sigmund: ₦1770 → ₦1728 (−₦42)
The price adjustment was also due to product unavailability.
CALABAR DEPOTS
PMS (Monday – Friday Movement)
Calabar PMS prices recorded mild downward adjustments across major depots.
Northwest: ₦1293 → ₦1290 (−₦3)
Jenny: ₦1291 → ₦1288 (−₦3)
Petroleumprice.ng analysis showed that Calabar remained among Nigeria’s premium-priced PMS corridors despite limited production availability.
MARKET OUTLOOK
PMS prices recorded mostly marginal declines across Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar during the review week as depot operators responded to cautious trader behaviour and shifting market sentiment.
AGO prices witnessed steeper corrections nationwide, particularly across Lagos and Warri, reflecting production availability, and global oil prices realignments.
Market participants told Petroleumprice.ng that pricing direction in the coming week will likely depend on crude oil movements, depot supply positions, trader sentiment and Dangote Refinery's pricing template.
